Business Development Manager - Property Management
Kere Rapana is one of our Business Development Managers in the Property Management Division of the bustling Ray White Castle Hill branch. She has achieved an awful lot in just over a decade and all of it in real estate. Getting a headstart on many, she was already in the process of becoming a first-time mother while completing her Diploma of Applied Sciences in 2003.
Not letting that slow her down, she enrolled in a Bachelor of Psychology at Auckland University. Halfway through however, Kere recognised this wasn’t the path for her and took her father’s advice to pursue the bright lights of the booming housing market in Australia. Ten years later, Kere has managed to acquire skills and experience in just about every facet of property investment imaginable.
Moving over the ditch in 2007, she applied for an entry-level role at a real estate agency, but her clear potential won her a different position; Associate Director of Administration. So began a whirlwind introduction to all the fundamentals of the industry, acknowledging this position as a crucial foundation for her subsequent career.
Next stop, Senior Sales Consultant at a property investment company, putting all that theory into practice. The Sydney market was roaring; Kere maximised every opportunity she could, only leaving to complete her family in 2011. On her return, she sought experience at a long standing boutique real estate agency, also her first exposure to Property Management. It was a role that was to eventually lead her to the coveted appointment to Property Management BDM at Harcourts, Parramatta. In addition to her comprehensive residential expertise, Kere is current in Commercial Property Management, having filled a relieving position at Charter Hall, Australia’s leading direct property fund manager.
It’s clear Kere builds relationships effortlessly; friendly, open and honest from the get go. The traits you might not spot quite so quickly are her resilience and tenacity; that ability to be soft or tough with the empathy and intuition to know when to be both. In any property transaction, she sees her role as one of leadership, not stepping aside until she is sure that both parties are comfortable with the result.
Kere is as compassionate outside of work as she is in it, spending much of her downtime in charitable activities with her family and their church. She likes to keep fit, regularly going to the gym, playing indoor netball and touch rugby. She strongly believes that a good home is one filled with love, trust, and faith, and always makes this a top priority for both her family and her clients.
