Testimony to Paul Conti and Kael Sharp of Ray White Castle Hill
Saturday 25 March 2020.
By Mike and Donna Dorahy of 6 Trinity Ave Kellyville
The period between Thursday 12 March, when our house went on the market, and Wednesday 25
March when our house sold at auction, is when governments around the world stepped up their
restrictions on people and businesses in the face of this unprecedented, world pandemic of modern
times. A period of social distancing, self-isolation, massive job losses, folding businesses and stock
market crashes and news domination. The impact and uncertainty looming up largely and equally
for everyone, including those in the real estate arena. Agencies, agents, buyers, sellers, renters and
landlords all anticipating and beginning to realise huge falls in their future prospects.
We were so fortunate that we selected Ray White Real Estate at Castle Hill. We did so, mostly
because Paul Conti of Ray White sold us the property 10 years prior, and he did so because no other
agent understood our needs or followed up more than he did. Naturally we wanted him on our side
again. What we were not expecting was to get a partnership between Paul and Kael Sharp on our
side. After Paul introduced Kael we could not have been happier with his warm approach and
towering professionalism. He’s the big guy you want on your team.
At every step, Paul and Kael blended their complementary talents, experience and energy. They also
fully included us in their strategic and tactical planning. The result is ,we achieved the great outcome
we were hoping for, before the escalation of restrictions. They worked long hours for us and their
buyers and remained positive, and on task, through the entire difficult period. In addition, with the
full support of the Ray White executive team they quickly changed tactics with every new restriction.
In the end we brought forward the auction date by two weeks, and conducted it in a way that kept
everyone safe and enabled multiple buyers to put their best bids forward by Wednesday 10pm.
Probably the last auction of its type in NSW. This required massive effort to inform buyers and
arrange for the auction resources to be scheduled at the last possible moment.
Thanks Paul and Kael. Thank you Ray White.
Our recommendation to others is to be realistic, trust these people and work with them. You won’t
P.S. The property was purchased by a father for his two small children and himself. He wanted a
house that felt, above all, like a family home. It’s icing on the cake for us to know it has gone to
